Tank Backup, Inc. makes the Emergency Fuel Pouch for one job: getting a stranded driver or rider to the next fuel station.
Read before you use it
- For emergency use only. Do not store gasoline in the pouch for longer than 30 minutes. It is not intended for storage.
- Extremely flammable. Vapors can explode.
- Harmful or fatal if swallowed. Keep out of reach of children.
- Keep away from heat, sparks, open flame and cigarettes.
- Fill and pour outdoors only. Never pour near a running or hot engine.
- Use with gasoline only. Single use. Do not reuse.
Directions
- Park on level ground. Turn the engine off and let it cool.
- Open the pouch cap outdoors, away from heat, sparks and flames.
- Place the spout in the fuel tank opening. Squeeze the pouch slowly and stop before the tank is full.
- Close the vehicle's fuel cap and wipe up any spill.
- Put the cap back on the empty pouch and throw it away. Do not reuse.
Intended use
- A single-use container for up to 2 gallons of gasoline, for emergencies only.
- Not a storage container or a fuel can.
How we make and check it
- We buy only from manufacturers that give us written material specifications and test reports for each production run.
- Before a run ships, we check samples for leaks, seam strength, spout and cap fit, and print legibility.
- Lot codes let us trace any pouch to its production run.
How we sell and ship it
- Pouches ship empty, in sealed outer packaging.
- We do not sell pouches to anyone who says they plan to store fuel in them.
Reports and recalls
- Report a problem on our contact page or at support@tankbackup.com. A named person reads every report.
- Any report of a fire, injury, leak or spill goes to our safety owner the same day, and we stop selling the affected lot while we investigate.
- If a lot is unsafe, we stop shipping it, tell customers and retail partners, and offer a refund.
